A proud new beginning for our young Aboriginal men at Newcastle High School, guided by Aunty Belinda and the Uncles of our wider Aboriginal community.

Our Bingai shirt tells a story of culture, connection, belonging and journey. Every symbol carries meaning - from our yarning circles and camp sites, to walking together and being guided by the footsteps and animal tracks of kangaroo, emu and goanna.

The flowing saltwater surrounds and connects us to our school and to Awabakal Country, reminding our young men of their strong cultural connection to place.

This shirt represents our young men walking together, learning together and carrying culture forward.
